By Chris Leyton on 11/11/2002 Having been canned the promising title is given the kiss of life.After the recent demise of German developer Westka Interactive, it appeared that the promising PC FPS – The Y-Project – would join the likes of <a href= http://www.totalvideogames.net/?section=Game%20Info&gameid=58&format=000006>Aliens: Colonial Marines</a> on the gaming scrap-heap, it emerged that the game is very much alive.<br><br>Former members of Westka Interactive have formed a new development team, <a href= http://www.joylabs.de/>JoyLabs</a>, and are currently continuing work on the Sci-Fi inspired FPS. Investment from an unknown US firm has allowed the developer to continue, however they were keen to announce that funding will soon run out and would need extra funding within the next two weeks.<br><br>JoyLabs have announced that a US publisher is interested in the title, which may involve bringing the game to the Xbox as well (Microsoft???). If funding was to come forward, the game is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2003.<br>
