She Bangs the Drums is the latest in a now extensive and varied track list...

The Edinburgh Interactive Festival was the setting for yet another in a long line of attempts to keep with the Joneses (i.e. Rock Band) by Activision, which unveiled a "legendary" track by the Stone Roses - She Bangs the Drums - for their upcoming game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Taken from an album that has been voted the "Greatest British Album of All Time" by The NME, She Bangs the Drums adds to an eclectic track list for Guitar Hero's third instalment. Rock classics from different eras and styles now grace the list including Even Flow by Pearl Jam and Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

"The Edinburgh Interactive Festival is all about the culture of gaming," states Zach Fountain, General Manager, RedOctane Europe. "The Guitar Hero franchise has already established itself as part of mainstream pop culture, so it was a perfect place to unveil one of our UK-originated songs. The Guitar Hero road show moves from here to Leipzig, where we'll be announcing a whole new stack of European songs for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock."
