Electronic Arts today announced the release of The Sims⢠Hot Date Expansion Pack, the new add-on disk to the top-selling PC game of 2000 & 2001, The Simsâ¢.
The Sims Hot Date Expansion Pack represents an entirely new experience for The Simsâ”dating! Play matchmaker to the Sims and watch the sparks fly or fizzle. For the first time ever, Sims will be able to leave their homes and visit an all new downtown area that will give them a place for a romantic rendezvous or to just hang out with a friend. Send your Sims out to a dinner for two at the swankiest restaurant in town, a fun-filled picnic in the park or a leisurely stroll down Main Street. Will your Sims find true love or be destined to a lifetime membership in the lonely-hearts club?
âA longtime desire of players has been to get their Sims out of the house,â said Tim LeTourneau, Producer at EAâs Maxis⢠studio. âHot Date gives The Sims a chance to get off the couch, travel to new locales, and try their luck at the dating game.â
Players can take their dream dates to an all-new, fully-customizable downtown area filled with shops, restaurants and parks. They can also invite neighbors and friends to meet at these new locales as well.
With over forty new social interactions, The Sims can flirt, play footsie, make out, gossip about the couple at the next table or chat in Simlish about new and diverse interests â¦whatever it takes to keep sparks flying on their dates.
Over 125 new objects, including the Picnic Basket, Love Tub, Cuddle Couch and Loverâs Swing, allow players to set the perfect mood for their Sims. Find your Sim a soul mateâ¦or have fun trying with The Sims Hot Date.
