EA confirms a GBA version of its multi-million seller and releases the first intriguing details...
It?s been rumoured since time began (well not quite), however EA today officially confirmed that a version of its multi-million selling ?The Sims? will appear on the GameBoy Advance.
During the Nintendo E3 conference, Will Wright confirmed that a new Sims would be appearing on the GameCube and would feature GBA connectivity features.
The Sims Bustin? Out is currently in joint development at Maxis and Gryptonite Games, and will allow players to directly control their Sim and interact with the GameCube version as previously claimed.
Starting life out in a barn, players must guide their Sim from ?rags to riches? as they choose from a variety of career paths on offer. The press release claims that over 20 locations will be included in the game, and interact with over 30 different characters.
Instead of purchasing items, players will now need to collect these by visiting auctions, shops and trading with other characters or players. The Press Release claims that an all-new social interaction dialogue box, allows characters to have extensive conversations and to build up relationships.
The connectivity to the GameCube version will open up a new level for the GBA title, whilst a hidden games cabinet will appear in the Gamecube version allowing players to play a variety of mini-games. Players will also be able to interchange between their different characters on both versions.
EA have scheduled a December release for all versions of The Sims Bustin? Out; we?ll have more information soon.
