Ubisoft announce the world's first puppy simulator for the GBA - surely it's too much...
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; however we didnât believe the Nintendogs copy-cats would arrive so quickly, and certainly not from Ubisoft.
Announcing the worldâs first puppy simulation for the GameBoy Advance in a publishing agreement with MTO Co., Dogz is a pet simulator that allows owners to name, train and play with their ârealisticâ puppy. Choosing from 49 different dogs from 18 different breeds, owners can take their pets everywhere within the virtual environment.
Earning respect and loyalty by remembering to feed and groom their pets, owners can also train the puppy to lie down, shake, fetch and perform many tricks â“ sounds fun, no? Surely this is one Nintendogs wannabe too far???
"Ubisoft is pleased to bring such a unique puppy simulation game to the millions of Game Boy Advance owners around the world," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "We are confident that players will enjoy caring for and watching their puppies grow, and we have a significant television campaign in place to get the word out about this extremely fun and rewarding game."
Dogz is slated for a worldwide release - excluding Japan â“ during November 2005.
