EA executive Frank Gibeau has hinted of a sequel at an EA shareholders meeting...
The head of EA Games, Frank Gibeau, has hinted that EA are developing a follow up to The Godfather - The Game. The report comes from comments Gibeau made at an EA shareholder meeting yesterday.
Answering a question regarding EA's strategy towards adult titles, Gibeau said: "We make games like Godfather 2, Army of Two, Crysis - a lot of products that appeal to that older customer and it's going to be a key growth strategy inside our group on how to expand across more categories like action, RPG, strategy that appeals to that older gamer." Gibeau continued: "I think we can add more there but it's clearly a growth opportunity for our label."
The Godfather - The Game underachieved considerably for EA Games. An official announcement that a sequel is in development is yet to be made but, if Gibeau's hint is correct, EA will have their work cut-out to resurrect the franchise.
