The Getaway 2 - First Details News

We go undercover and discover some details on the sequel to SCEE action packed 'The Getaway'...

Although âThe Getawayâ didnât offer quite the experience that we were all hoping for, the success of the first game and the possibilities of blending a strong cinematic experience that actually offered an enjoyable experience make us quite excited about âThe Getaway 2â.

Although details on the title are extremely scarce, weâve heard a few whispers that suggest the sequel will be on a much larger scale then the original. Itâs been suggested to us that the game will feature a new location possibly based in a Scottish town.

Presumably this would join London as a location within the game, after all the time Team Soho spent meticulously researching and painstakingly photographing ever corner of London weâd guess they wouldnât want to just throw all of that away.

We know that artemdigital are currently at work on new motion-capture technology to feature within the game; hopefully in an attempt to make the stunning cut-scenes look even better. Weâve also heard word that Image Metrics has been brought in to provide advanced facial animation for the title.

Despite all of the technological advancements that seem to be underway, Team SoHo must make sure that the actual game improves and offers more innovative features then the lacking original.

Hopefully weâll have more information on âThe Getaway 2â soon.
