We revealed last week that the latest title in the Tenchu series, Tenchu 3: The Wrath of Heaven, will feature a multiplayer mode. Activision today sent us information on what form this will take.
The game will feature five dedicated multiplayer levels which can be played in two different modes, co-operative teamplay and hunter-hunted deathmatch. Allowing you to take out the enemy with a mate as quickly as you can, or engage in what should hopefully be a deathmatch packed with tension.
Elsewhere the document revealed that the developers are doing a lot of things to enhance the replay value of the title, each mission will focus on three different criteria; including espionage, theft and assassination. The levels have been designed in such a way to allow the player to determine the most efficient way to achieve these goals. The levels will also feature three unique enemy placements to keep players guessing and multiple game endings â“ based on earlier decisions made in the game â“ to keep you coming back for more.
Activision hope to see Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven released in Europe sometime in Summer 2003, weâll have a lot more on this title until then.
