Check out some information about this handheld fighting game
There is some new information about Tekken on the GameBoy Advance, which is due to be shown at Spaceworld in a couple of weeks. Although this information has not been confirmed, it seems that the GameBoy Advance will be getting a port of Tekken 3.
The main question about the port would be 2D or 3D, and apparently the game will be the latter. Now, the GameBoy Advance can do polygon characters, for instance Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, but it remains to be seen whether it can pull of large polygon characters that would be needed for Tekken. However Tekken 3 on the PlayStation was just drawing the characters in three dimensions, the backgrounds were simply bitmap images being scaled and rotate. It is not unthinkable for the GameBoy Advance to be able to draw a couple of characters and a two dimensional arena. According to the information around at the moment it seems that this is indeed what the game will be like.
Apparently there may be additional tag features implemented, although it would make more sense if this were a port of Tekken Tag Tournament. As for any additional features, we don't know, although a link up mode is practically a pre-requisite.
We will find out everything we need to know about this game at Spaceworld in a couple of weeks.
