Serious Sam set to return on the Playstation2 and GameCube, this time around he's got wheels...
Take-Two today announced that its Global Star publishing label will release āSerious Sam: Next Encounterā for the Playstation2 and GameCube in Spring for the bargain price of £19.99, in addition to āSerious Sam Advanceā for the GBA.
Developed by Climax, the Playstation2 features online play for up to eight players and a two player split-screen, whilst the GameCube version offers four player split-screen deathmatch modes.
āSerious Sam: Next Encounterā finds Sam gearing up once again to defend the Earth from Mental and his limitless extra-terrestrial hordes. Sam is launched back in time to eradicate the alien scum from more than 40 levels spread throughout three massive new time periods - Ancient Rome, Feudal China and legendary Atlantis. For the first time ever, Sam will have access to vehicles to help him mow down the enemies, and of course he'll be armed to the teeth with an arsenal that contains old favorites and some high-powered new additions.
