Same old trailers used to remind us the Playstation3 is still on the way - Sony blames counterfeiters...


Sony's Playstation 3 continues to be the blushing bride of the videogames industry, as the Taipei Game Show kicked off without any further information on the next-gen format.

Speaking to reporters at the event, Tatsuhiko Yasuda Managing Director ofSony Computer Entertainment Asia claimed "We want to be completely prepared when we bring PlayStation 3 to the marketplace," adding "Our No. 1 competition is not other companies but counterfeiters. We want to work with governments to stop this."

So the traditional E3/TGS trailers were once again rolled out, demonstrating footage from Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5, Tekken, Genji 2, Armoured Core 4, to an eager audience desperate for new information.

lol it wont happen in 9 years, i take it youve been asleep for quite a while as the rest of the world knows there is a resession going on and people are less likely to buy new stuff as they dont know how long before there place of work shuts down cau... [ Read full comment... ]

this a good thing over 9 yrs it will happen folk wiil soon tire of wii's and the xbox(which is nearly all shooters, fun 4 a while, but ps3 does more in all ways

lol just how does sony expect the ps3 to sell more than the ps2 is a bit dumb considering the ps2 is still selling bucket loads across the world and with 120 more titles expected to hit the ps2 this year is it a real objective to shift over 140 milli... [ Read full comment... ]

not true. mine jumped 50 to 100 and i have had no problems since the update. i just hope that theres patches coming out for trophies soon...
