THQ's The Outfit Set For Release On Xbox 360 News

THQ and Relic Entertainment set to release the WWII squad title on Xbox 360...
In a joint statement THQ and Relic Entertainment have announced the development of The Outfit on Microsoftâs Xbox 360. The game, which is a squad based action title set during World War II, see gamers choose from one of three squad leaders before taking control of two squads of soldiers out of various missions.
The game will allow players to change between the two squads as well as bringing them both together in what is described as a single âsuper-unitâ as they battle through the objectives including reconnaissance to search-and-destroy across twelve single-player missions, as well as a whole host of multiplayer options on Xbox Live. Throughout the various campaigns, fighting with against the enemy will result in players being able to unlock options from upgrading their weaponry to calling in air strikes and building machine-gun nests.
In the statement Jack Sorensen, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Studios, THQ, said "The Outfit is a perfect example of a title that is only possible with Xbox 360 technologyâ¦Relic's unique brand of large-scale explosive action and field-level strategy easily differentiates The Outfit from any other war title released on any system to date."
"Visceral combat experiences have always been a big part of our games at Relic," said Ron Moravek, General Manager, Relic Entertainment. "The team is having a blast creating a squad-based action game that allows us to incorporate some of the strategic elements we're best known for. Delivering this level of gameplay with surround-sound and high-definition capabilities means gamers can look forward to a new level of intensity on the battlegrounds of WWII."
