More on this gameWhile Nintendo has often passed over development responsibilities for games containing their intellectual property to third party developers, the honour has rarely been passed on for the publishing duties of their most valued games icons. This may happen in the next couple of years according to a Security and Exchange Commission filing that was made at the end of last week.
This makes sense given THQ's existing portfolio of family friendly kids games (such as those under the Nickelodeon license), and a productive long term relationship between the publisher and Japanese games giant. According to the SEC filing, any THQ game that uses Nintendo IP will have to been given the all clear by Nintendo before it sees the light of day.
The agreement will run through until October 13th 2009 and specifies that the platform for any possible THQ published games will be the Nintendo Wii. It also holds that the publishing responsibilities for THQ games featuring Nintendo IP will be restrained to countries within the Western Hemisphere.
A spokesperson for THQ told trade site Next-Gen: "THQ maintains agreements with all of the first party hardware companies that we make games for. Periodically, these agreements are renewed. It's just a standard procedure and is not indicative of any new arrangements."

to the haters! i love the wii, there is such a great range of games available, and more often than not at a nice price!!
the educated wii owner will enjoy his wii for years (most of the best games are fairly unpopular and often not even advertised), kids won't because they're kids, and anyway nothing wrong with putting the controllers down for a while!
and oh yes, f-zero and starfox has to happen !!!

lol most of us are over the novelty value of the wii now all the games are so alike its getting boring besides people want hidef the wii cant do hidef so basicly that why you cant compare the wii to the 360 or the ps3.
secondly from that there are games the mature audiance can play on the 360/ps3 like buzz/seen it among other kids games the only thing the wii has is wii fit but hasnt anyone heard of going out for a walk or even using a push bike or even jogging lol wii fit is for lazzy people who after buying wii fit will use it like there rusty exercise bike in there loft/garage with half a ton or dust and cob webs all over it

the Wii could never match the 360 or ps3.... come off it, the games for the wii are cr4p. mario this , mario that,.... bloody zelda and rabid rabbids. My kids have a Wii, and even they get bored playing it

to 133.21, its simple how the wii can challenge other consoles games like the 360, they have games for the WHOLE family, like wii sports and wii play, i mean can u imagin ur grandmotrher on halo3? or metal gear solid?? no obvioulsy not, they'll probs have a heart attack tryin to figure out how to shoot and drive a vehicle( sorry if any old ppl read tht didnt meant it :P) soo mr xbox fanboy that is how the wii can match 360 games and ps3 games :)

I know I'm a bit late to this party, but you're wrong, "mrawesome" (can anyone be more generic?). The 360 isn't doing well in Japan and most of Asia, and the PS3 is closing in on the 360 in Europe. I'm not saying that sales = better console, but one must look at the facts. And by the way, Wii hardware sales smoke the 360 like Cheech and Chong did weed.
