THQ has today confirmed the development of Drawn to Life, an adventure game being produced for Nintendo DS by 5th Cell, a studio usually known for their work on Mobiles.

Besides featuring a story that sounds more than a bit familiar (the hero must save a village), Drawn to Life's originality comes from the ability for players to design their own hero as he changes into four different forms - including Aquatic Hero and Flying Hero - to battle through the game's locations. According to THQ, gamers will also be able to draw various environmental aids through the course of the adventure, though further details on the gameplay are thin on the ground.

Drawn to Life has so far been pencilled in for release during the autumn.
