THQ Confirms Saints Row For PS3 News

Weeks after a listing appeared at an online store, THQ confirms the Stilwater City gangs are coming to Sony's next-gen system...


Earlier in January, a listing for a PlayStation3 version of Saints Row appeared on the website of North American retailer, EB Games. At the time, THQ hadn't confirmed development of a PS3 port, but today the publisher acknowledged that a version for Sony's next-generation system would be released across the pond during the spring.

"Saints Row has established itself as one of the most successful
original properties in next generation gaming, and we're excited to bring the groundbreaking experience to PLAYSTATION 3 system fans worldwide," said Kelly Flock, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Publishing, THQ.

"Bringing the open-world genre to the PLAYSTATION 3 system for the first time will help grow the Saints Row fan base and expand the open-world online community."

THQ are yet to announce any addition features specific to the PlayStation3 version at the moment, including whether and how it would take advantage of the SIXAXIS motion control.

here hopes saints row 2 dont come out for ps3 either (cant have so many decent games on a rival format) meens more exclusive games for 360 then i guess not that you buy the console purly for the exclusive games (would you buy a barby game for the ps3... [ Read full comment... ]
