THQ confirms that Juiced will be heading over to the PSP in 2006...
THQ has today announced that its Street Racing title Juiced will be heading over Sonyâs PSP handheld platform as âJuiced: Eliminatorâ in Summer 2006. The game will replicate the look and feel of the home console title, as well as adding new cars, locations, and vehicle components â“ and the new âEliminatorâ mode, which will eliminate the last placed car at the end of every lap.
"From the moment the rubber hit the concrete, Juiced has experienced tremendous global success, racing to the top of sales charts worldwide and providing a strong foundation for what will become a successful franchise," said Kelly Flock, executive vice president, worldwide publishing, THQ. "With Juiced: Eliminator and the portability of the PSP, those sitting on the metro, on a train or at their desk, can pursue innovative new game-play modes, pink-slip and crew racing, delivering a red-line adrenaline rush strong enough to replace the morning coffee."
"From the beginning, our goal with Juiced: Eliminator was to design the game from the ground up, creating the next evolution in the Juiced racing experience," said Colin Bell, Managing Director, Juice Games. "While the game will be immediately recognizable to all Juiced fans, we're very excited to bring a new dimension to the brand by tailoring to the inherent capabilities of the PSP."
New single-player modes, two new locations (each with 8 unique tracks) as well as an improved career mode and Wi-Fi Multiplayer modes, look set to give the title a new lease of life on PSP. Weâll have more on the title shortlyâ¦
