THQ Announce MX vs. ATV For PC/PSP News

Rainbow Studios` racing franchise set to arrive on PSP and PC platforms in Spring 2006...
THQ has today confirmed that MX vs. ATV Unleashed and MX vs. ATV: Unleashed On The Edge for PC and PSP respectively, will be released in March 2006. The off-road series, which makes its debut on the handheld and the PC, continues with Unleashed and features over 50 tracks across freeroam areas. A variety of race types including Shorttrack, Hill Climb, and Waypoint races are available to play, together with multiplayer options (4-player Ad Hoc Wi-Fi on PSP and 8-player online play on PC) and the PC-only ability to create new tracks.
âRainbow Studios is taking their mastery of the off-road genre to new heights, redefining the genre they built for Windows PC and bringing the duel between four wheels and two to the PSP system for the first time,â said Dave Miller, Senior Global Brand Manager, THQ. âGamers can now build their personalized vision of the ultimate off-road environment on their Windows PC, take it online and race against all challengers.â
âWeâre looking forward to bringing the Unleashed experience to the handheld market as well as returning to our off-road development roots on the PC,â said Scott Novis, President, Rainbow Studios. âBoth titles will possess the unmatched game-play elements that define a Rainbow Studios title and provide exciting new content at the same time.â
