By Gwynne Dixon on 20/02/2008 THQ and Blue Fang Games have announced an agreement on a brand new property for DS and Wii...Publisher THQ and Blue Fang Games (developers of the much iterated Zoo Tycoon games) have announced a partnership on a new intellectual property, which will wing its way to Nintendo's Wii and DS in 2010.
No clues yet as to the type of game we're likely to see. However, given the casual appeal of the Wii and DS a la Nintendogs, as well as Blue Fang Games' previous experience with cuddly animals, it might be reasonable to expect something in this area.
"With sales in excess of seven million units worldwide, Blue Fang's Zoo Tycoon franchise has served to expand the casual gaming demographic through its accessible, compelling gameplay," said Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President of Publishing, THQ. "We're confident that this new property will strongly appeal to the new generation of casual players on Nintendo Wii and DS."
