A marriage of technologies is formally announced at SCE's Tokyo Game Show conference...


Speaking at Sony Computer Entertainment's Tokyo Game Show conference, SCE boss Kaz Hirai has confirmed that the long-running saga of rumble on PlayStation 3 is at an end - DualShock 3 is on its way.

The bringing together of SIXAXIS' motion-based technology with the rumble of DualShock and DualShock 2 has been expected ever since SCE's legal battle with patent holders Immersion, with reports emerging in recent weeks suggesting developers were already working with rumble-enabled SIXAXIS controllers.

Hirai confirmed that up to ten titles would be playable at TGS'07 with rumble fully enabled, and promised that updates over PlayStation Network will be made available to add the functionality to past releases.

DualShock3 will go on sale across Japan from Japan, with North American and European launches during Spring 2008.

Why do people say its ffVII sequel!!! If you read the initial story it says it has nothing to do with ffV11 and its not an RPG!! Chances are there is no big announcement and it was a big joke!!
