Lost Odyssey is the story of Kaim, an immortal character who has lived more than 1,000 years and doesn't remember his past and doesn't know where his future lies. Throughout Kaim's journey, a handful of characters will join him on an odyssey to discover their intricate past and destiny, leading players through a dramatic story of massive scale.

Sakaguchi-san confirms the upcoming epic will go one further than Blue Dragon...


As the 2007 Tokyo Game Show gets underway in the Far East, Mistwalker's Hironobu Sakaguchi has confirmed behind closed doors that the upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive Lost Odyssey will ship across four DVDs - one more than the studio's previous title, Blue Dragon.

News of the game's multiple discs emerged via IGN, which also reported that Lost Odyssey will feature the usual RPG mix of CGI and gameplay, with an expected duration of up to fifty hours.

Lost Odyssey is due to arrive in the West during Spring 2008.

I'm sorry but you're all complaining about 4 discs??? Come on, this is a game thats finally worth the money rather than paying 40quid for a game that lasts hardly a few days

4 disc is awesome. It's a classic style long RPG! with an indepth stroy line. It's what we all wanted!! the game is amazing and i am loving every min of it :) good job microsoft. Make another one :P

Please che love r source article again and reconfirm the following issues; 1UP confirmed that Lost Odyssey will receive a simultaneous US/JAP release date; and that Blue Dragon is due out in August.
