Soothing and seductive, flOw draws you into the evolution of a simple aquatic creature journeying through the surreal abyss. flOw is the first game ever to come from the university to first-party publishing on a major console. Initially an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) thesis, flOw is a game about piloting an aquatic organism through a surreal biosphere where players consume other organisms, evolve, and advance their organisms into the abyss.

TGS'06: Sony Presents flOw For PlayStation3 News

Jon Wilcox

22/09/2006

Jon Wilcox

Following Jeff Minter's light synth and the Wii's Wii Mii, is flOW the PS3's quirky application...

Sony has today announced flOw for PlayStation3. Very little is known about the 'game' other than it supports up to six players online, although the official one page description of the titles states:

Dive into the endless experience

Dive into the endless blue

Dive into the revolution

Meet 'flOw' downloaded by PlayStation3

Though the planned release for the 'game' is yet to be announced, there is the possibility that it could be the PlayStation3's Wii Mii or Xbox 360's Neon Light Synthesiser.

We'll have more news shortly...
