Let’s cut to the chase here. August 26th. That’s when Super Mario Sunshine - for that is now the official name - will be released in America on the GameCube. <br /> <br /> The release date was confirmed in a Nintendo press release that points out that Mario is, rather scarily, 21 this year. A veritable veteran of the videogames industry Mario still manages to provoke excitement and anticipation despite not having his own real game since Super Mario 64 in 1996. <br /> <br /> We still don’t know much about Super Mario Sunshine, although it must be very advanced to have Nintendo actually committing to a release date. However we must bear in mind that this Nintendo and when it comes to release dates, well, they’ve not exactly got a reputation for delivering much on time. We do all of course know that when their big games do come out, they are pretty much always worth the wait, and here’s hoping that Super Mario Sunshine will be no different.
