Nintendo send us information regarding their forthcoming title, Super Mario Ball…
The appearance of Super Mario Ball came as something of a surprise on today's Christmas line-up from Nintendo, as the Japanese publisher today sent us further information on the title.
The game follows Mario through a pinball world, and yep youâve guessed it, Princess Peach has been kidnapped by the evil Bowser and taken to another dimension. Mario will surprisingly get turned into a pinball by a scientist using his particularly nasty-sounding âSpherifierâ machine and will travel through many worlds trying to save his love. Weâve seen Mario try his hand at many occupations over the years, however this is destined to become his most unusual to date.
The game entails a blend of pinball action and traditional adventure aspects, as players choose their own paths through the varied environments of the Mushroom Kingdom, fighting off familiar enemies and collecting coins as they go.
Super Mario Ball features a wide selection of environments, ranging from a fairground to the countryside, each of which have their own specific enemies and different features to explore.
Some of Marioâs old favourites Power-Upâs turn up in the game, including the Super Mushroom, 1-Up Mushroom, Invincibility Star and the Lightning Bolt; whilst in true Pinball style, the quicker Mario fights off the enemy the higher his score will be.
Mario is set to launch on the GBA on the 26th November, weâll bring you more information soon.
