Could a trademark re-registration hint at a future return for SEGA...
It seems as though Outrun and Afterburner won't be the only classic SEGA franchises inline for a comeback, as the useful US Trademark & Patent Office has revealed SEGA's recent re-registration of the Super Hang-On name.
Naturally this could just be to ensure the trademark doesn't pass, however we wouldn't be too surprised to find the game making an appearance in the arcades via SEGA's Lindbergh technology, or perhaps returning to the homes courtesy of SEGA's UK racing studio or the guys at Sumo Digital.
Super Hang-On was recently hinted as a hidden bonus soundtrack in the otherwise atrocious Sonic Riders; perhaps a hint of what's to come???
