Microsoft announce the Australian release date for Xbox 360; tie me wireless controller down sport...


Whilst us Europeans wait for December 2nd to arrive, itās worth sparing a thought to the Australians as Microsoft has announced a release date for the Xbox 360 in the land of Oz ā“ March 2nd 2006. Both the Core and Xbox 360 packages will be hitting the shores of down under next Spring (or Autumn for them in the Southern Hemisphere) at a cost of AU$499.95 (£214) and AU$649.95 (£278) respectively.

Promising to have around thirty titles at launch (of which we can guess what eighteen of them are), the Aussies have less than 100 days to go until they can begin the next-generation.

oh yeah just for the record the chip intel are working on is a 16 core chip possibly even going as far as a 32 core either way the next xbox will have all the features of the ps3 and more (though xbox live still wont be free i dont have a problem wit... [ Read full comment... ]
