LucasArts releases the first details from SW: KOTOR 2...
LucasArts today officially confirmed the existence of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, promising to return to the unique timeframe of the Old Republic (4000 years before Episode 1) yet offering an all-new more perilous story, new characters, classes, locations and force powers.
The sequel is set around five years after the original Knights of the Old Republic, where the Jedi have nearly been brought to an end by the Sith; the galaxy is in turmoil and the Republic no longer has the strength or support to protect its worlds. Sith Assassins have been sent to hunt down the one remaining Jedi, the one who holds the key to the fate of the galaxy â“ you.
Backing up earlier suggestions, the game is currently in development at Obsidian Entertainment, having formed a close relationship with BioWare and is currently scheduled for release on Xbox and PC in February 2005.
