The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice". The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III and Star Wars: Episode IV. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

LucasArts confirm the first next-gen Star wars title has been "force" pushed back into 2008...


It seems as though George Lucas fanatics looking for a next-generation Star Wars experience will have a little while longer to wait, with confirmation from a GameSpot interview that Star Wars: Force Unleashed has been pushed back into 2008.

Originally scheduled for release on next-generation platforms, PlayStation2, PSP and Nintendo DS in November 2007, confirmation comes from the official website now stating a firm 'TBD'.

this seems too much like Power battles/SW:EP3.Simple hack and slash, linear gameplay i can see a flop on this one

Talk about dropping the ball for the Wii...I'm a HUGE SW fan, and have been for a long time now. Ever since SOE messed up Star Wars Galaxies, I've not played any of the games, save for the LEGO ones (which barely count). I was truely hoping for the W... [ Read full comment... ]

I have absolutely no confidence in Lucas, where plot is concerned. The game looks fun, but I'm really quite annoyed that because the PS3/360 versions got the updated DMM and Euphoria engines/physics, that they won't get an MP function. Personally, ... [ Read full comment... ]

I can see where the last two ppl are coming from--this game could potentially be mediocre...but im not so sure. Let's face it, LucasArts is throwin their full force into this title under the direction of the man himself. whether ur a SW groupie (eww)... [ Read full comment... ]
