Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals to herald the long-awaited announcement of StarCraft 2...
Koreans go absolutely crazy for Starcraft, so a report in the Korean gaming site ThisIsGame, suggesting that Blizzard will officially confirm the existence of Starcraft 2 has to hold some credibility.
Allegedly at the "Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals" event taking place at the Olympic Gymnastics and Fencing Stadiums in Seoul on May 19th, Blizzard will finally unveil the much talked about sequel, which promises to make a natural move to 3D; feature an entirely new race; and introduce a range of changes and improvements to the existing Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss factions.
At a UK launch event for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Blizzard representatives mentioned Starcraft 2 as a likely occasion for the next big Blizzard event, so it seems that Starcraft fans can finally put nine long years of waiting behind them.
