Square-Enix To Bring Odin Sphere To Europe News

Atlus' hand-drawn RPG set for a European debut in early 2008...
Released in North America and Japan earlier in the year, Square-Enix has today confirmed that Odin Sphere will be heading to Europe in early 2008, exclusively on PlayStation 2.
Developed by Atlus, the outfit responsible for the broad Shin Megami Tensei series of RPGs, Odin Sphere is set against the backdrop of two factions warring in the world of Erion - on the verge of fulfilling a prophecy that would destroy the whole of the planet. Polished up ahead of its European release, Odin Sphere features what's been described as a 'solid' cooking and alchemy system, along with hand drawn characters and a score composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto of Final Fantasy XII fame.
John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "Odin Sphere embodies the commitment of Square Enix in bringing new experiences to European gamers. This is especially reflected in our partnership with Atlus, allowing Square Enix Ltd. to publish the first non Square Enix title in PAL territories. The wonderfully crafted Odin Sphere is the best possible start to an exciting new period for the company."
