Square-Enix Confirm Final Fantasy XII Release Date News

There's still some time to wait for Square-Enix epic; the good news is Europeans should get it during the same year...
Square-Enix today announced the hotly anticipated Japanese release date of Final Fantasy XII as March 16th 2006, with claims that the title would not see the traditional lengthy European treatment with a release planned for later in the same year.
Taking place in an age when magic was commonplace and airships filled the skies, Final Fantasy XII begins in Dalmasca, one small kingdom within the world of Ivalice. A young orphan known as Vaan dreams to escape his life on the streets, yearning for an airship of his own, free to go wherever he wishes. Amidst the backdrop of war engulfing the region, Vaan meets Princess Ashe, the sole surviving heir to the Dalmascan throne who has been given up as missing. The pair are joined through the adventure by Vaanâs friend Penelo, the sky-pirate Balthier and his partner Fran, along with Bash, a captain in the Dalmascan army who turned traitor and slew his king.
