Midway Games today confirmed the development of Spy Hunter: Nowhere To Run for the Playstation2 and Xbox. Tied into the forthcoming movie adaptation starring Dwayne āThe Rockā Johnson as the ultimate secret agent Alex Decker, the game takes the franchise where itās never gone before ā“ on foot and probably into the realms of another uninspired GTA clone.

The third-person action title features intense melee combat as Alex attempts to stop the evil NOSTRA Corporation from stealing the worldās most sophisticated spy vehicle, the Interceptor.

Spy Hunter: Nowhere To Run is slated for release in Summer 2006; weāll have further information soon.
