NAMCO-Bandai confirms online play for the fourth title in the series...


Online play in fighting games remains a sore subject for developers. Whilst the outspoken Team Ninja relented and brought Dead or Alive: Ultimate to Xbox Live (followed by DOA4), SEGA's AM2 remain adamant that the technology still doesn't provide the scope for lag-free play with the Virtua Fighter series.

However, it seems that Soul Calibur fans will be able to fight across the globe, with confirmation via EGM that the fourth chapter will feature online play on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.

Exactly what the mode will entail beyond the traditional options remains unknown at this stage, though the game should see the return of the Character Create mode from Soul Calibur III, allowing players to duke it out with their own customised fighters.

I have always enjoyed playing soulcal, and am sure this game will be fun to play as well.

The story doesn't really matter in a game like this.

Also, what exactlly can make someone a "good gamer" vs being a "bad gamer"
