Sony, Toshiba, And IBM Extend Partnership News

The trio of companies that produced CELL announce a continuation of their partnership for the next five years...


With the CELL processor set to appear in PlayStation3 during the next twelve months, the three companies behind the technology Sony, Toshiba, and IBM have today announced that they will be continuing their joint efforts for the next five years.

Confirmation of the new deal was reported by news outlet Reuters, and whilst terms of the agreement haven't been disclosed, the three did confirm that work will continue to further shrink technologies from the current 45 and 90 nanometre chips used in the current generation of CELL, to 32 nanometres.

It's Final Fantasy VII sequel. That date is the same time as scheduled Square Enix DKS3713 August 2nd/3rd.

this a good thing over 9 yrs it will happen folk wiil soon tire of wii's and the xbox(which is nearly all shooters, fun 4 a while, but ps3 does more in all ways
