Sony Shares Drop News

Delayed PS3 the reason for a near 2% drop in shares for the company in Tokyo...


News that the PlayStation3 wouldn't be launched until November 2006 hasn't only disappointed gamers expecting the next-gen console to make an appearance this Spring, as shares in the firm fell by 1.82% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Whilst shares are yet to recover from the blip in Japan, stock in the firm at the New York Stock Exchange actually increased by closing time yesterday, slightly up by 0.15%.

European shares in the firm followed suit with their Japanese counterparts dropping 1.85% in London and 1.85% in Frankfurt.

i own a ps3. infact i just came off playing it. for methe ps3 is gd for about 1hour, than i get bored and dnt go on it agen until the next day. there is nothing dat can keep me interested in the ps3. the games and pure love e, online always glithche... [ Read full comment... ]

this a good thing over 9 yrs it will happen folk wiil soon tire of wii's and the xbox(which is nearly all shooters, fun 4 a while, but ps3 does more in all ways

lol just how does sony expect the ps3 to sell more than the ps2 is a bit dumb considering the ps2 is still selling bucket loads across the world and with 120 more titles expected to hit the ps2 this year is it a real objective to shift over 140 milli... [ Read full comment... ]
