Sony rebuts Microsoft claims that the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by two to one in the US last week...
Sony has spoken-out to refute Microsoft claims that the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by two to one during 'Black Friday' week in the US. This follows Microsoft's announcement of 310,000 Xbox 360 unit sales for that week (ending November 25th).
According to the Seattle Post-intelligencer, Sony commented that "Microsoft's estimates of our PS3 unit sales numbers are way off and they did not outsell PS3 2:1 during Black Friday week." Sony Corporation Entertainment America also stated that their policy was not to release sales numbers until official NPD figures are released on December 13th.
So far, the 'Black Friday' week has been kind to Nintendo and Microsoft, with the former reporting 350,000 Wii and 653,000 DS unit sales in the US. The DS sales were particularly impressive, smashing previous weekly hardware sales records.
