Sony Deny PS3 Slip But Japanese Retail Still In Dark News

Sony insists PS3 still on for a spring release, which leaves us to question is spring still spring...


Sony has today been moved to deny allegations that the Playstation3 could be pushed into 2007 after a recent Merrill Lynch report. "There is no change in our original plan to release the console in spring 2006", Sony representatives told reporters in Tokyo.

Tellingly however representatives at a nationwide Japanese electronics chain informed Bloomberg that there are currently no preparations underway for the PS3, despite Microsoft beginning to promote the Xbox 360 across stores two months in advance of its release.

Despite countering the delay allegations, Sony refused to be drawn over the issue of PS3 pricing and would neither confirm or deny whether Merrill Lynch' $900 manufacturing costs was close to the mark.

It's Final Fantasy VII sequel. That date is the same time as scheduled Square Enix DKS3713 August 2nd/3rd.

this a good thing over 9 yrs it will happen folk wiil soon tire of wii's and the xbox(which is nearly all shooters, fun 4 a while, but ps3 does more in all ways
