SCEE announces the development of a sequel for the PSP ready for the World Cup...
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has today announced the development of World Tour Soccer 2 exclusively for PSP. The game, which has been set with a June 2006 release date, will feature eleven gamemodes with two (World Tour and Medal Mode) forming the core gameplay.
Seventy-one teams from around the world will be included in the game, together with Wi-Fi Ad Hoc (up to four players) and Infrastructure (up to two players) multiplayer gameplay. WTS2 will also include eight new stadiums and in addition to some of the other gamemodes (such as Classic Challenge, Time Attack, All-Rounder, and Shot Clock) new gamemodes will be available to download after the game has been bought.
One of the few PSP titles to take advantage of the system's Infrastructure mode, allowing gamers from across the world to play together, it'll be interesting to see how World Tour Soccer 2 has developed from its predecessor.
