BBFC's classification info for GTA IV speaks of "un-detailed" masturbation, fellatio and intercourse portrayals...
Contrary to sensationalist reports, gamers can expect much of the same when picking up GTA IV's "working girls" across Liberty City. Following the BBFC's recent 18 rating for the highly anticipated title, the classification board has also published extended info on the game's risqué content.
According to the report, "During gameplay the character can pick up prostitutes..." Yes, well we'd already pretty much figured that this now traditional feature would be in the game. The report goes on:
"What follows is an un-detailed portrayal of masturbation, fellatio and intercourse. The character can also visit lap dancing clubs and request a private dance. While the game contains sexualised dancing and the portrayal of sex, there is no sexualised nudity."
It would certainly seem a little silly for Rockstar to include interactive and graphic sex scenes in GTA IV, what with the whole 'Hot Coffee' fiasco that we all had to endure a few years back. By the sounds of things, GTA IV will simply feature slightly increased contact with Liberty City's sex trade, although the imagery is sure to continue having the softest of cores.
Kratos has done worse things on our consoles for crying out loud!
Rockstar has censored a couple of details on the BBFC report for distribution in the gaming press, although this is only in an effort to shroud a couple of minor plot spoilers.
