SEGA confirms the identity of the title currently being worked on by the newly formed outfit.
SEGA of America and SEGA Europe have today confirmed the development of Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars for PSP.
Currently in development at newly-formed Sniper Studios, Fare Wars will have an amalgamation of maps from Crazy Taxi (both Dreamcast and Arcade versions) and Crazy Taxi 2 (the NYC-inspired Small Apple), and will include a number of gametypes from Arcade and Time Trial, through to Ad Hoc Multiplayer modes. Infamous Crazy Taxi mini-games will also be featured in the course of Fare Wars.
"We've often thought that the sublime playability of our Crazy Taxi franchise was perfectly suited to the PSP format. Now with new gameplay features and including superb multiplayer modes we're really confident that gamers will agree" commented Matt Woodley, Creative Director SEGA Europe. "The heady mix of competitive gameplay and vibrant graphics makes this a winner, in my humble opinion!"
There's not too long to wait until we can all go make some crazy money, as Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars is due out on PSP during summer 2007.
