Snake set to deal a new hand by the summer with the release of Metal Gear Ac!d 2...
Konami has revealed a wealth of new information about Metal Gear Ac!d 2 for PSP, which is set for release in the second quarter of 2006. Several of the game's features have long been known, not least the Solid eye 3D image viewer that clips onto the front of the PSP, the cel-shaded graphics, and that the game will contain more than double the number cards of the first Ac!d title (from 200 to 500), but at least now we have a rough idea as to when the game will be arriving on our shores.
In Metal Gear Ac!d 2, players once again follow Snake as he find himself made to complete an objective set by a supposed FBI agent; instead finding himself caught up in a trap laid by the US Military and female secret agent Venus who're in the process of building a new generation of Metal Gear robots. Not only does Snake have to stop their plans for to create the weapon systems, but he'll also have to face his demons from the past along the way.
In addition to the new card system such as 'Linkage Cards' that reward players, and 'Trap Cards' that lay traps according to specific environments, MGA2 is said to feature a more intuitive control method and a thorough tutorial system to help Ac!d rookies to the game. Metal Gear Ac!d 2 will also see a return of the one-on-one Ad Hoc matches together with Arena Mode where gamers can battle against various bosses from the series as a way to develop new strategies.
We'll have more on Metal Gear Ac!d 2 shortly...
