Shock Horror - Malice Delayed News

Do you remember this game that was used to showcase the visual power of the Xbox? It's still not out...
During a recent âTrading Updateâ to the city, Argonaut confirmed that the Xbox and PS2 title, Malice, would be delayed once again to an unspecified date in the autumn.
Argonaut claim that the extra development time will be spent on editing and making final gameplay alterations; two key areas that could ultimately âmake-or-breakâ the overall game.
The UK publisher admitted that the delay would have a âsignificant impactâ on the developersâ financial year results, and sequentially saw a slight drop in their share value.
The troubled development times of Malice have earned the game more coverage then the actual title.
Malice was used to showcase the Xbox visual power long before the final machine spec was released; despite itâs early showing, Malice is still nowhere near to being released. The games publishers changed from Microsoft Game Studios (presumably angered by the amount of time this was taking) to Sierra, who promptly gave control to Vivendi Universal Interactive and announced a Playstation2 title was in the works.
The Playstation2 version is currently in development at LT Studios and features a number of extras and alterations that are not in the Xbox version; both the games are dogged by rumours of looking and feeling incomplete
Over two years later, Malice has fallen from being the title to demonstrate the true power of the Xbox to a multi-platform release that everybody appears to have forgotten about â¦
