Shenmue Website Gets A Makeover News

The official website for our beloved Sega epic has a remake, gets a new server...

Could this be preparation for the thing to get pounded when they announce number three?

We certainly hope that Sega will be making Shenmue III, and we would assume that if the game ever does get released that it could be on Xbox ? given that the second game in the series was released on that machine. Microsoft's machine also seems the most natural home for the epic adventure, as we're a pretty sure that the hard disk could be useful for helping realise Yu Suzuki's epic ambitions for the game, not to mention the hardware backing it up.

The official website for Shenmue has been updated in Japanese, saying they are preparing to move to a new server. This announcement comes with a little re-design, which would be an odd thing to do for a dead franchise. Wouldn't it?

We hope this is the first tentative indication that there may well be a third game in the series, we'll keep you up-to-date with any information on this game.

i dont have to sue but i got good idea lets stop buying sega games until we actually have concrete proof of shenmue3 hopefully none of this energy ball or dragon in sky crap i mean thats stupid is shenmue online free some1 tell me

i can relate to everyone here as ive completed both senarios and would love to see a third story of shenmue 3 coming out as its the best rpg game in the world that i have ever played.

good news im wont sue sega shenmue3 will be out on 31/03/09 on xbox360 only and will come with high def remakes of shenmue 1+2 now for sigh of relief

It really makes me happy that gamers from all around the world are still hoping for Shenmue3. I am one of them, but since the deplorable state SEGA is currently in I fear that it will never be made. :(

I think a Shenmue 3 announcement at the right time would be the ideal thing to keep the momentum behind SEGA. Shenmue is legendary even amongst people who never played the original games, heck it would even win over those who dissed it in the past. ... [ Read full comment... ]
