Japanese retail prepares for the second outing of Ryo Hazuki in his quest to avenge the death of his father.
Japanese store 7Dream is starting to take pre-orders for Shenmue 2, which is released on September 6th for 7,800 yen, about $63 or roughly £42. As well as shipping with the Virtua Fighter 4 preview disc with the history of the series and VF.net access the store 7Dream will be bundling a Virtua Fighter soundtrack with the game, a nice little bonus for the Sega fanatic.
Shenmue II since the demise of the Dreamcast will not sell as well as Sega would hope, especially given the cost. Given the strength of the game one would hope that it sees a release on another format. However right now Shenmue II is looking to offer one of the most impressive, immerse gaming experiences of the year.
