Sensi Pulled From XBLA News

Sensible World of Soccer has been pulled from XBLA after a crippling glitch grounds the title...

Codemasters' forums, the gaming press and Sensible Soccer fans everywhere are resonating with the same voice of discontent - 'Why can't I play XBLA's Sensible World of Soccer while I'm logged into Xbox Live?' - After this glitch led to the title being pulled from Xbox Live Arcade.

Gamers who purchased the title upon its release today will have to delete it as the game automatically logs players out of Xbox Live upon booting-up Sensible World of Soccer. This effectively cripples the 2 player online multiplayer feature in the game.

Sensi fans have already had to put up with severe delays to the title, which was originally scheduled for release last summer. Following today's unveiling and subsequent removal from XBLA, Microsoft has released the following statement (taken from an MCV report):

"It has come to our attention that an incorrect version of Sensible World of Soccer was made available on Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 which has since been taken down. This version incorrectly disconnected users that attempted to connect to Live.

"We are currently investigating the issue and will have a correctly functioning version of SWOS available soon.

"Any users that have already downloaded SWOS will need to delete their copy of the game and download it again when the correctly functioning version is available in order to enjoy online play via Xbox Live."

The same report suggests that a fixed version will be back on XBLA by the end of the week, while Codemasters' official comment on the forums is that those who've had to delete the game "should be able to redownload it for free."

Lets get one thing straight, if you want a realistic football game get pro evo. If you want to relive the long hours spent on SWOS then get this, they are totally different gaming experiences and both fantastic. Just steer clear of FIFA

Its about time that this was released. As for the people comparing this to Fifa and Pro Evo, you are just as well comparing Mario Galaxy with Star Wars : KOTOR, they are both set in space but are completely different games. Its the same with Sensib... [ Read full comment... ]

someone doesn't know a good game when they see one. EA's repetitive rubbish fifa is only competition for the table tennis. How can they call fifa football when the womans world cup is better quality

It's not a competitor of fifa or Pro Evo. This was around long before either and is a cult classic loser.
