We said it was coming, as today Sega finally confirmed that Virtua Cop 3 is on its way. Developed on the Xbox based Chihiro arcade board, the latest title in the hugely successful light-gun series comes eight years after Virtua Cop 2 wowed the crowds and Saturn owners, so we had our doubts that the game could raise the interest that the series once had.<br><br>However it appears that the eight years have been put to good use, as Virtua Cop 3 features the coolest feature we’ve seen in a gun game ever, and could well and truly re-ignite interest in the comatose genre.<br><br>The so called E.S Mode is engaged by pressing a foot-pedal in a similar manner to Time Crisis; doing this however slows down time in a homage to the matrix, giving you the advantage and even allowing you to shoot bullets out of the air!<br><br>Additionally the guns now feature a weapon change button, allowing you to carry two different weapons at once.<br><br>We’ll have a lot more on Virtua Cop 3 soon, but in the meantime make sure to check out the first video footage, you won’t want to miss it.
