20 new screens showing the impressive dynamic weather system in action...


THQ today released a selection of screens showing the impressive dynamic weather system, which features in the forthcoming āSTALKERā from GSC.

GSC claim that the weather system will actually play a crucial role in the gameplay, shaping the environment around you and calculating every change in the weather and every day/night cycle realistically.

The engine features complex shaders, shadows and volumetric effects such as fog, mist and lightning, whilst being controlled by an advanced AI that creates unscripted challenges through a series of complex rules. To give an example of the depths afforded by the system, wind affects the migration of pack animals naturally and the sleeping patterns of others.

Weāll have lots more on āSTALKERā very soon.

Sigh there are some bad things about the game other than that its beautiful the shadowing the dynamic weather change, stalkers sitting up at the fire talking eating playing guitar its such an atmospheric game and im not surprised that it won most at... [ Read full comment... ]

I have a low-level pc. My experience with the game has been less than satisfactory.Mostly do to my own hardware restrictions.Game-wise, I can't even load a saved game afer I die. Pretty frustrating. And it can be pretty chppy at times.
