Sony Online Entertainment announce the E3 unveiling of two new PSP titles...
As the countdown continues to next weekâs E3 Expo news seems to be breaking of new title unveiling on a very regular basis, and today Sony Online Entertainment confirmed the two games that itâs unveiling at the event for PSP: FRANTIX and GripShift.
GripShift is yet another racing title for the PSP but SOE promises to introduce some âpuzzle-solving actionâ as players take control of one of six characters and race through over 100 levels filled with various challenges along the way. Described as an amalgamation of genres including Stunt Driving, Platform Action, and the aforementioned Puzzle, GripShift certainly seems to be trying to cover a lot of bases and itâll be interesting to see how it will all work. The game will also include a Track Editor with created tracks able to be shared wirelessly, as well as bonus games (that have âcrazyâ names including Soccer Crazy, Snaker, and Bomb Pool) and four-player wireless connectivity.
The second SOE title for the PSP is FRANTIX, which is currently being developed by Killer Game and has been described as the first 3D character-based puzzles games for the platform. The title features over 150 levels taking place across environments strewn with obstacles and various monsters, with players able to pick up various coloured gems and develop new abilities from them.
Making the announcement Chris Sturr, Senior Brand Manager, Sony Online Entertainment said, âWe are pleased to bring two original and exciting titles produced by some very talented developers to fans of the PSP systemâ¦GripShift is an original break-through combination of stunt driving, platform and puzzle action that is sure to thrill, while Frantix will put even the most skilled puzzle-solver to the test with action that is easy to pick-up, but hard to put down. Both titles will offer compelling gameplay experiences that will appeal to casual and hardcore gamers alike."
With such scant information, weâll have more on both titles from E3 next week...
