SOE License Midway Titles For PlayStation Network News

The likes of Mortal Kombat II, Rampage World Tour, and Gauntlet II are coming to PlayStation 3 in the future.


Sony Online Entertainment has today confirmed that it's licensed six titles from Midway, which it aims to release on PlayStation 3 via the platform's PlayStation Network.

The six titles, Mortal Kombat II, Rampage World Tour, Gauntlet II, Rampart, Championship Sprint, and Joust, will be developed by SOE with the first game pencilled in for release during the early part of this year.

"We knew these titles would be a perfect fit for the PLAYSTATION Network, and based on Sony Online Entertainment's legacy in the online space as well as their intimate knowledge of the PLAYSTATION Network, it was an obvious decision they would be a top company to work with to bring this project to fruition," said Steve Allison, Chief Marketing Officer, Midway.

"This is a great opportunity for SOE and Midway to come together to bring these arcade treasures to the next-generation of gaming on the PLAYSTATION 3," said John Needham, Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sony Online Entertainment. "SOE will continue to explore additional opportunities to bring fun and unique digital content to the PLAYSTATION Network."

not true. mine jumped 50 to 100 and i have had no problems since the update. i just hope that theres patches coming out for trophies soon...

very cool as in dead and yes sony admitted the new firmware can potentially kill a ps3 if the download leaps from 50% to 100% instead of ie 51%52%53% ect
