Sony Computer Entertainment America release SOCOM 3: US NAVY SEALs Details...
SCEA have today announced further details about the forthcoming title, SOCOM 3: US NAVY SEALs, which is expected to be released in Autumn 2005. The details reveal that three new Areas of Operation will be available for players: Morocco, Poland, and Bangladesh with developments in streaming technology allowing the environments to be five to six times larger than the gameās predecessor.
SOCOM 3 will also feature amphibious gameplay, with land and water vehicles as well as underwater strategies are key to progressing through the game. Players will also have access to 31 authentic weapons and 21 compatible attachments allowing for up to 1000 weapons customisations.
New Team Command Actions are also available in the game, which will allow players to direct the fireteam quickly with a single button press, and improved AI will mean that team members will find cover, blindfire and engage in fallback behaviours; realistic chain-of-command features will also be available in the game.
