SEGA Confirms Virtua Fighter 5 Xbox Live Support News

Xbox 360 adaptation of the legendary fighter takes it online with Xbox Live support...
AM2 said it couldn't be done and many purists would argue that fighters online just don't work, however it seems Xbox 360 owners will get one up over PS3 fans with confirmation that Virtua Fighter 5 will feature Xbox Live support.
Providing online modes for up to two players to battle it out across Xbox Live, Virtua Fighter fans can choose from any of the 17 fighters available or customise their own character through the Quest mode.
Due for release in the autumn, Virtua Fighter 5 is based on the latest version of the arcade, and also includes an improved Quest mode featuring more CPU rivals, items and emblems for character customisation. The Dojo mode also sees the introduction of leaderboards, training mode settings, improved throw and escape training and many further tweaks.
"For a lot of very good reasons, Virtua Fighter(tm) 5 is regarded as the deepest and most revered fighting game available on next generation consoles", said Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe. "Bringing Virtua Fighter(tm) 5 to the Xbox 360(tm) will not only capture an entirely new audience, but will allow gamers to show their Virtua Fighter(tm) skills online against friends and foes".
